After founding Maxillo Tandem with the clear goal of advancing clinical oral and maxillofacial surgery, Dr Anne-Frédérique Chouinard is pleased to welcome Dr Dru Perkins to the practice.
Dr Perkins shares the same vision of care: an approach guided by kindness, precision, and a commitment to providing every patient with confidence, comfort, and meticulous follow-up.
Both Dr Chouinard and Dr Perkins offer a full range of oral and maxillofacial surgery services, performing procedures both in the standard clinic setting and under general anesthesia in Maxillo Tandem’s new private operating suite.
Their skills complement one another perfectly, and both share a strong interest in orthognathic surgery.
With the arrival of Dr. Perkins and the addition of an on-site operating suite, your patients benefit from faster access to care within a center designed for their comfort.

Oral and maxillofacial surgeon
Dr Anne-Frédérique Chouinard completed her dental doctorate degree at Université Laval. Afterwards, she underwent a year of multidisciplinary residency in affiliation with McGill University at Montreal Children’s Hospital. This was followed by a five year specialization in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Université Laval. Concurrently, she completed a masters in health science at the same institution. To complement her training, Dr Chouinard pursued a subspecialty in orthognathic and pediatric surgery at Boston's prestigious Harvard University. After many years practicing in the Montreal region, Dr Chouinard decided to start her own maxillofacial surgical center. A center mirroring her values as a health professional – a welcoming, caring and collaborative space.

Dr Dru Perkins

Oral and maxillofacial surgeon
Dr Dru Perkins received his dental degree from the Université de Montréal. He subsequently completed his specialization in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Minnesota. Following this training, he decided to pursue sub-specialty training in facial feminization surgery in Spain with the renowned Facialteam clinic. Dr Perkins shares Dr Chouinard's vision for Maxillo Tandem and is pleased to join the team.
